EcoLodge – Efficient production of Butyl-Butyrate from Lignocellulose derived Sugars
Sibashish is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Biotechnology and Biosciences, specializing in converting waste into value-added chemicals using microbial fermentations.
He received his PhD from Jadavpur University, India, where he focused on process optimization by developing novel strategies associated with biomass delignification and hydrolysis, as well as kinetic modelling. As part of the Indo-Norway Joint Research Project (Grant Identifier: INT/NOR/RCN/P-06/2015), he had the privilege of working at the SINTEF Bioprocessing Laboratory in Norway. This opportunity allowed him to delve into the production of butyric acid from reducing sugars through anaerobic fermentation.
