Angela holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology (2023) from the University of Milano-Bicocca and she is pursuing a Master’s degree in Industrial Biotechnology at the same institution.
Her current thesis investigates the role of the transcriptional factor Gal4 in the central carbon metabolism among Saccharomycetaceae yeasts, with a special attention to the non-conventional acidophilic yeast Zygosaccharomyces parabailii, an attractive host for organic acids bioproduction.

Her academic interests focus on synthetic biology and metabolic engineering, exploring biodiversity and its potential to upcycle industrial wastes into high-value compounds in a circular economy context.
